How is the Festival funded?
The Festival is funded by visitors to the Festival; Airdrie and area businesses, and Government of Alberta grants. Visitors support us by buying hot chocolate, by buying train tickets, and by dropping cash and cheques into our donation boxes or Jingle Jugs. Businesses by sponsoring or donating goods and services. And the Festival has received grants from the Alberta Community Facilities Enhancement Program (for construction of the new washrooms, which will become a part of the infrastructure at Nose Creek Park), and by Alberta Community Spirit grants which have helped cover some of our operating expenses.
Can I get a receipt for my donation?
Yes, if you wish to contribute $20 or more, please contact one of our volunteers (in the orange vests) and ask to speak to the Night Leader or Assistant Night Leader. They will either provide a receipt on the spot, or make arrangements to have one sent to you. Alternatively, you may call in advance to make arrangements for a receipt: leave a message on our voice mail system (403-912-9627) and someone will get back to you within a day or two.
What about commercial donations?
Yes, we can also offer tax receipts for major commercial donations, subject to CRA regulations. Please send your information request by way of the form on our Contact Us page.
